- The scholars have agreed that the Companion is everyone who met the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace and lived with him, whether for a short or long period, and died in Islam, whether a man or a woman, young or old, and he took matters of religion and life from him, and if he was not a Muslim, he is not considered a companion And he was called the Companion because he accompanied the Messenger and stood with him in good times and bad, defended him and supported him and struggled with him with his money and himself, and the Companions have the credit for narrating hadiths, which is the second source of Islamic legislation after the Holy Qur’an.
